The Keauhou Trolley can accommodate up to 44 passengers and is extremely
popular with visitors and local residents. The trolley begins in the land division
or Ahupua‘a of Keauhou?the Kona lands that both King Kamehameha the Great
and King David Kalakaua had residences on and where King Kamehameha III
was born.
These royal lands were passed down to Princess Pauahi Bishop and her trust?
Kamehameha Schools whose mission is to educate Hawaiian children.
The Keauhou Resort Trolley travels round-trip to historic Kailua Village via Alii Drive where Hulihe‘e Palace anchors the village and continues through the Ahupua‘a of Keahuolu, the lands originally owned by Queen Lili‘uokalani.
Bring a beach towel and jump on the trolley at Kahalu‘u Beach park or La‘aloa (White Sands Beach Park) or make it a full day discovering great historic places and the royal history along the way.
